After riding the 2007 Mission 1, Bicycling Magazine wrote “The rigid design and 68° head angle give the bike predictable and confident handling that lets you pin it on fast descents.”

The mission is a bike that puts the 'all' in 'all-mountain' and the 'mountain' back in 'mountain-bike'. It's an incredibly versatile nimble efficient and stable all-mountain bike with 6 silky-smooth inches of terrain initiated travel, The mission is a true all mountain bike with no bias for type of mountain riding or direction it goes its efficient knuckle box suspension design coupled to a fox shock allows it to climb like a goat and descend with the same confidence and stability as its 6 inches of travel come to life. You've got to feel this bike to appreciate this unique suspension design! Come in and demo it at The CRANK!

Impex Montauk 2005 used kayak

Used Impex Montauk Kayak

Used Impex Montauk Kayak

Used Impex Montauk Kayak

Purchased new
from The Crank in October, 2005, this red over white, fiberglass Impex Montauk kayak has been used less than 10 times. The boat has been cartop-carried and stored outdoors, and displays cracking of the (surface) gel-coat around stress points from being strapped onto the car roof. There are surface scratches and paddle marks.

It is structurally sound and clean inside, and all hatches are working like new. If cosmetically perfect, this boat would sell used for $1900. but you can have a great-paddling, stable and swift sea kayak for well less than half that price because of the details of its appearance...

Impex Kayaks Montauk 16
inspires confidence with a great blend of speed, maneuverability and stability.  The kayaks low foredeck is unobtrusive, making this a user-friendly light kayak, which can still handle big water conditions or weekend excursion.

STANDARD FEATURES:

Hatches: Bow & Stern - large rounded rectangle glass with rubber seal, Day - 8" round glass with VCP rubber seal, 3 fibreglass contour bulkheads & fibreglass seams.

Outfitting: "On Demand" back band, "Non Skid" Seat Pad, aluminum foot braces, padded molded high braces, retractable skeg, molded recess for Brunton Nexus 70P Compass (not included), Expedition reflective deck rigging and an innovative "Clutch" rescue handle

Surf & Whitewater Kayaks

  Mission (lime - poly)
List: $1,150  Sale: $690 (40% off)

Conceived as a super fun, river-running playboat, the Mission has enough volume for all-day comfort and predictable handling in grabby hydraulics and squirrelly eddies. Pronounced bow and stern rocker yields easy surfing performance and loose, forgiving spins and play. A tucked rail keeps edges out of trouble in trashy holes, while still generating good carving ability on a wave. Whether the Mission is to nail your first clean flat spin, perfect the stern squirt or surf until sunset, the innovative recoil outfitting, good foot room and predictable performance will keep you grinning from ear to ear. "Mission accomplished."

2004 Buyer's Guide
Outside Magazine Online

Why It Rules:

Check out this river runner's design: Semisoft edges make for good stability in grabby water, yet offer all the carve necessary for sharp turns, while large bow volume maximizes legroom and helps prevent pearling by keeping your nose out of trouble. » Though not built specifically for play, the slim, lengthy rear makes stern squirts a snap. » The Mission travels fast: invaluable when trying to catch a wave or paddle a few miles of flatwater. » Though kayakers of all sizes easily fit into this boat—it's a full foot longer than the Necky Vibe—the Mission is perfect for larger paddlers. » Outfitting is simple yet effective, with an improved backband and thigh braces that are solid without being intrusive.

Jive (midnight red/blue - poly)
List: $900     Sale: $450 (50% off)

This smooth paddling river running boat combines good speed and tracking with a playful planing hull. The 8'10" is very predictable in big water and has the performance to make those harder moves easier. The double chined planing hull makes it fun to play both horizontally and vertically, while the slightly higher volume gives the paddler a very confortable fit.
